This is a great store. I bought some hard to find bedding from there a few years ago. The staff is super friendly but things were um... very expensive. But that is expected as this store is in the heart of La Jolla village and the quality of furniture is very high. The styles are really hip and modern. Clean minimalistic lines and cool all around. I'd recommend stopping in if your in need of home decor or furniture.

I recently purchased a upholstered platform bed from HomeLoft and I can't say enough good things. My experience was fantastic. This store is just outside of the "design district" of Cedros avenue in Solana Beach, CA. The showroom is located next to Pizza Port on the 101. I ended up meeting the owner on my first visit and found out the company has a huge online presence as well. You can purchase high end furniture online. The furniture in the showroom was really our style. The owner likes what we like. Cool, hip, comfortable, contemporary but not too modern. I liked a lot of the pieces I saw in the showroom which usually never happens for me. The pieces were VERY high end but I wasn't seeing VERY high end prices. In fact, I was kinda surprised that things were priced fairly.

After speaking with the owner I found out that we could essentially custom build anything I wanted. Beds, couches, etc. So we picked out a really cool upholstered platform bed, made some changes to the height of the headboard to fit our needs and selected just the right fabric. On the day of delivery it was pouring rain and we were forced to put the bed still wrapped in the garage to keep it dry. The following weekend the owner himself and his manager showed up at my house on a Saturday which also happened to be the owner's birthday to move, unwrap and install the bed personally. How's that for customer service!?!?

HomeLoft's customer service was second to none as they treat every customer like a friend or family member. Turns out this is their company motto and one that will keep me shopping with them for years to come! I've included a pic of a coffee table I'm thinking of getting...

Utopia is a great site for checking out available rental homes throughout the San Diego area. I've never rented a place through them but their website is pretty helpful.
