Hayes is a Bridgton tradition. They have everything you need in a very large, clean store. If you need it and they don't have it, just ask and they will try to get it for you.

At Brookers they have every single thing you can imagine! If you need a hammer they have it, a nail they have it, and even a gift for a special someone can be found at Brookers. They have a nice variety of small figurines!!

In June 2008 my wife and I bought a new Amana refrigerator. They told me the next morning when I came to pick it up that the bottom shelf was broken and that they were going to replace it for me. It is now Dec 2008 and it has yet to be fixed. Every time we call or stop they have a different excuse for not having it. The last time we stopped, we talked to the owner himself and he more or less told us that they weren't concerned about the matter implying he could care less. I don't intend to ever buy anything from them again as it seems all they are concerned about is the sale and nothing else. Am planning to make my monthly call tomorrow and see if we can get a chirstmas present from them---namely our shelf!!!!!!!!!

Greenwood Hardware is very reasonably priced and has quite a large selection for being a neighborhood hardware store. I've rarely not found the product I wanted to buy, but if they don't carry what you're looking for, they know who does.

Stellar Hardware went out of business several months ago. The storefront is still for lease so I'm upset that they had to leave before the lease was sold.
